My Story

Credentials

I am an HPCSA Registered Counsellor, with a special interest in promoting Mental Health and enhancing well-being, within the field of Addiction. I have spent the last 8-years devoted to my academic and professional development. In this time, I am grateful to have worked within esteemed Rehabilitation Centres, and to have assisted numerous clients in my practice.

My goal continues to be a practitioner that the public can trust, and a person that can be an agent of positive change for groups and individuals within South Africa's unique sociocultural context. I believe this is achieved through respect, empathy, integrity, evidence-based practice, passion, perseverance, and professionalism. Steve Maraboli once said that: "Happiness is not the absence of problems. It's the ability to deal with them". This notion rang true along my own journey and has inspired me to professionally help others.
